How to Know If You Have High Blood Pressure

By L.Barnes

Getting regular blood pressure checks is the best way to determine whether you have high blood pressure. Your health care provider will take readings using a stethoscope, electronic sensor, or gauge. Your pressure will be compared to those of people of your height and age, as well as to those of people who are obese. In both cases, it’s better to get several readings than to take only one. Your health care provider will also make sure you are taking the proper medication.

A doctor will measure your blood pressure with a stethoscope and a blood pressure cuff. You can also do this at home, by purchasing an electronic blood pressure monitor. There are two types of blood-pressure readings: diastolic and systolic. Diastolic is the pressure in the artery when the heart is resting. When your pressure is higher than normal, your healthcare provider will recommend medications and diet changes.

A blood-pressure reading is a quick way to see if you have high blood pressure. It will display two numbers – the higher number is when your heart beats, and the lower number is the pressure between heartbeats, when your heart is relaxed and filling with blood. The lower number is your resting blood pressure. When your blood pressure is 120/80, it is a sign of high-blood-pressure. In some cases, high blood-pressure is caused by an underlying health problem, such as kidney disease or adrenal gland condition.

The symptoms of high blood pressure can be subtle and unnoticeable, but they are worth mentioning. If you’re suffering from high blood pressure, you should consult a doctor right away. It can lead to serious health conditions like heart disease, stroke, and vascular dementia. If left untreated, it can even cause kidney failure, eye problems, and even death. So, you’re better off taking a blood pressure medication to prevent these risks.

Blood pressure can be caused by several factors. The main cause of high blood pressure is a heart disease. However, it can be triggered by a number of factors. For example, a heart condition that causes an increase in your heart’s size, such as a genetic disorder, can cause high blood pressure in a newborn. If you have a heart problem, it is best to see a doctor as soon as possible.

Some of the signs of high blood pressure include nosebleeds, chest pain, and shortness of breath. Although there are no specific symptoms of high blood pressure, these symptoms are important to watch for because high-blood-pressure can damage organs. For this reason, it is important to treat the condition right away. A doctor will be able to prescribe you medications to lower your risk of developing hypertension. It is important to see a doctor if you’re experiencing any of these symptoms.
